The demo scares me already, and I feel that I am left without tool for understanding its scope. It is definitely a game you cannot seriously play without studying quietly some principles, if not all. And if I open the option panel, and look at all controls, it scares me away when I see that I can reload, unload, etc. I am only at the very beginning (I just get my KV1, and try to understand the moves for the camera (very strange - cannot find a pursuit mode, where the camera automatically follow the moves of a unit), and I struggle with the meaning of the various command and how to organize my 5 guys enjoying a deadly ride on top of the KV1 !!.
I do not need the full official manual, it is reserved for when/if I buy the full game, but a kind of tutorial, strategy guide, intro, summary sheet. Unfortunately, I cannot find in the demo version any guide, any manual explaining or giving a summary for the various commands, and so forth. I have been warned by the reviews: the learning curve is far from being like in many "take-away" games. And I don’t consider myself a beginner (but I had also trouble going into complex games such as Theatre of War, T-72). It is like a mixture of Diablo + call of Duty + Sudden strike + Panzer Elite + 1942, shake everything, locate this during WW2 on the eastern front, et voila, Men of war.īy any means, not easy. On my nephew's advises, who is never wrong when judging if a game is worth time and money and provide adequate satisfaction, I have downloaded the English demo and try to work my way in the game. Regarding the link, it is sometimes possible to find a guide in fan sites (I don't know any for Men of War), or at "(but there are none for MoW). Actually, I am experiencing the same problem as BairdPC.
